スティーヴィー・ワンダーが、2017年9月23日、ニューヨーク・セントラル・パーク・グレイト・ローンで行われた『グローバル・シチズン・フェスティヴァル』のトリに登場した。同フェスは、世界の最貧困の人々に手を差し伸べるなどの活動を行っている支援団体「グローバル・シチズン」が主催して行っているもの。スティーヴィー・ワンダー以外に、アレッシア・カラ、ビッグ・ショーン、チェインスモーカーズ、グリーン・デイ、ファレル・ウィリアムス、ロジック、アンドラ・デイなどが登場した。同フェスは、23日現地時間午後4時（日本時間、24日午前5時）、まだ明るい時間から6時間以上にわたって行われた。スティーヴィーは午後8時40分過ぎに登場。

スティーヴィーはライヴ・アーカイヴ映像では4時間41分20秒あたりから登場。1時間27分くらいのステージを敢行。最後のあたりに、ファレル・ウィリアムスが登場。ファレルがかかわった「ゲット・ラッキー」「ハッピー」をコラボ。「アイ・ウィッシュ」まで18曲を歌った。特に、ジョン・レノンの「イマジン」を終えた後は、スティーヴィーが「ジョン・レノンはここから10ブロックのところに住んでいた。そして、彼のスピリットは今でもここに生きている」と言い、拍手喝さいを浴びた。
